We made the decision to move our print contract to 1st office based on a combination of not only price but also of service levels that were promised and supported by references and testimonials. It has been proven that the decision was a good one.
At time of the contract starting we were in the middle of a large building project where the factory was being extended and new offices built. It meant that the installation date was forever moving, often at short notice but throughout it all 1st Office were nothing but accommodating. When the installation date came it was done quickly and without incident.
Since then any extra training or queries have been dealt with in a timely manner and the account is running smoothly.

Until recently I had been sourcing all my office equipment, including photocopiers and printers, from a local firm in Braunton and over the years I had acquired a miscellaneous collection of copiers and printers of various makes and ages, requiring several different types of ink cartridges. This was expensive in terms of consumables for the printers and maintenance contracts for the copiers. A few months ago I received an invitation to an “Open Day” held by 1st Office Equipment in Barnstaple and I went along just to find out more about the company and see what they had to offer. I met Peter who explained about their service and the potential benefits to my business and offered to carry out an audit of our copier and printer usage to establish the current running costs and provide me with a comparative quotation from his company. Peter came promptly and carried out the audit over a period of days, providing me with a full analysis of current running costs and a detailed quotation showing how I could make savings of about £90 with his company. As a result, we now have matching photocopiers at both offices and compatible printers/scanners (of much better quality than the previous equipment) leased from Peter’s company, which deals with all the maintenance, servicing and provision of consumables, making us much more cost efficient. The company reimbursed the last quarter’s lease payment on my old copier and even purchased some of our younger printers, saving me the job of having to dispose of them. I was so impressed with the service provided, and Peter’s professional attitude and attention to detail, that I invited him as a visitor to one of our meetings, as a result of which he has now joined the Chapter. As Funeral Directors we produce service sheets for funerals and we had left this particular one to the eleventh hour. Something we don?t normally do. But on this occasion there were special requests to insert at the last minute.
